n51 328xi e92.

just looking for information. I put quite a bit into my 328 at least in my opinion. ive had a few people tell me to swap an n54 in so i wanna start gathering info.

I have a AT n51.

i under stand i would need a totaled n54 with engine in contact a 6 speed tranny and for the ecu/dme would i need it from the same car and recoding? or how would that work.

Thank you in advance.

anything is possible but its not a straight honda civic engine swap. The amount of custom work required and the amount of coding /tuning required to make it work properly is just not worth the effort and money. Unless you own your own shop and are familiar with the e90 ins and out

If you are looking for power and you already have the preferred headers / 3 stage intake ( which u may have already) and tuning then I would suggest looking at the ESS supercharger and have BPC do the tuning. That is assuming you have already spend a lot of money making your car looked good and its just not worth it selling it and buying a newer car

If you are just looking for power , then I would suggest keeping your 328 as a daily car and look into an early n54 as a project car or looking at other options 370z , 5.0 mustang, G37 , etc etc etc. Most of the guys that are serious about putting down crazy power and pushing the car limits usually have a daily and a garage queen/ project car. It makes sense you need a reliable daily car that you dont have to worry about and a fun car that you can take your time to fix

This is assuming that you are willing to spend at least 10 k .

You can go FBO with it. Presently I sit at 212whp and 190wtq. AA Headers, Eisenmann Exhaust, silicone intake boot, charcoal delete+AFE oiled drop-in filter and BPC Stage2.
