Steering grind & squeal

Today I put in my downpipe and to get access I had to unbolt the steering rack and move it to the side. I’ve got the car back together and now the car grinds and squeals, here’s a vid. Any ideas?

Just guessing, maybe check the rack mounting again. Maybe it was shifting and causing binding of the intermediate steering column shaft?

I’ll check again tomorrow, it’s just a huge PITA to remove the undertrays. I didn’t want to torque the bolts too tight as I already snapped a subframe bolt.

Also wanted to add my power steering fluid is between min and max and no visible leaks from under

Hard to imagine the work you did would affect the hydraulic side, that is, the PS pump and serpentine belt slippage (and causing squeal).

Bentley shows 56 Nm + 90 deg turn for the rack mounting bolts. Therefore those torque-to-yield bolts should be replaced once removed. For 10.9 grade bolts they should at least hold 66 Nm per generic torque table in Bentley.
