God Damn 18 Wheelers -.- Hit and Run

so driving on rt 80 eastbound (construction zone, 4 lanes becoming 2) im on the left lane driving 65mph-so many potholes and shit. next lane over is an 18 wheeler and the 3rd lane had people merging from the 4th lane. the third lane then merges onto the trucks lane.... the truck didn't see me I guess and cut me off. I would have probably been crushed if I didn't brake on time and pull close as I can to the dividers. he hits me and never stopped, he kept going. I was lucky enough that 2 people called 911 and reported the accident along with the truckers license plate and company. here 1 pic for now.

I hope so. I'm lucky people called 911 and gave the truckers info or I would have been screwed. Waiting to get the police report next week. No airbags went off. Suspension took a hit tho :/

Damn man that sucks big time. Thank god those guys got the license plate # of the truck. I was hit and run a few months back and didn't get any plate so I had to pay for it all.

I'm just kidding... but at least you are safe and alive... that's all that matters! Your car can always be replaced.

Also to be fair to the trucker... he probably didn't see you OR even feel that hit (Compared to his size and weight, you are just a speck of dust). I'm sure it wasn't an intentional hit and run... more like he just had no clue what happened.

What you said. He would be out of a driving job for a very long time if he knowingly ran. That's if he can get back his CDL class A.

I'm not saying all truck drivers are the best out there, but you go ahead and try and drive a 80ft+ long vehicle. I used to drive something very similar in the USMC. Merging with traffic is very annoying. He probably thought he had a clear lane to get into and then move over. The back of a trailer is sometimes hard to see depending on conditions.

lol. yea he probably didnt feel the hit either. i was by the middle of the trailer tho, didnt think that is a blind spot for them?

i know its hard but they have 3-4 mirrors..... i guess he just looked once and boom changed lanes.
