Wiper Arm covers with Bosch Blades.

So it wasn't until driving the car during the day and finding some random pieces of plastic in the car that I really noticed that the windscreen wipers blade covers were the thing missing and low and behold the rogue bits of plastic confirm that with a quick part number check.

The car has Bosch blades so I'm surprised the covers don't fit. BMW want about £35 for new Wiper blades but do you think I could modify the Bosch ones to make the covers fit. They look brand spanking new and would be a shame to just bin them.

Time to get the dremmel out....

Fitted bosh wipers last week on my car. No issues at all.
You may have wrong wipers....or may not have fitted it properly.

Thanks chaps. Makkan - my initial thoughts too. Looked a couple of times but as they were on the car when I bought them I presume previous owner fault. I've got a 56 late 2006 pre-lci. Will do some pics tomorrow. I'd rather get what I have working as they're like new and smear free.

Cheers guys. This forum is a huge wealth of experience so hoped someone would have a clue. :-)

On the plus side Coopers BMW are getting me a replacement cover which is due Wednesday so come mid week at least I'll have both of them.

Mine are Bosch aerotwins and the covers didn't fit back on either, just got them stashed away in the glove box for now lol.

I think the BMW ones are made by valeo, might get them cheaper elsewhere?

I think the E90 is different compared to the E92/3.

I literally just fitted some BOSCH aerotwin A345S? on my E92 and they fitted perfectly with the cover on them.

I fitted some Bosch wipers from eBay the other week and the covers went straight on. Sounds to me they could be the wrong wipers

Here we are guys. As you can see it clips in happily at the wiper-arm end but won't go over the stupid bosch logo bit. The shape of the cut out on the cover matches the blade perfectly. Hoping I can shave the bosch logo bit back and it will fit on... replacing wipers for the sake of it seems a bit

As they look at the mo:

With the cover part fitted:

Blade matches the shape - without all the extra plastic

Well guys I bit the bullet and bought replacement blades to go with my covers and all is well. Going to modify my old blades come replacement time so I can make use of them using the OEM bmw ones as a size guide. Alls well that ends well.
