What race car uses a Man. tranny?? all drag and nascar cars are auto. All others are formula paddle shifters. Only unpractical people who are left behind and cant deal with the fact that Autos are getting better, stronger, and faster have to use the "A REALLLL driver doesnt drive an auto " route. Go race a 335 with a DCT on the track, street, or road coarse with the same mods as you. im sure he'll hand you your "clutch" on a silver platter.

Haha hurt what feelings, Roozie sums it up perfectly. If you want to show me something go take the 1/4 mile record with your 6spd, go change the whole racing world. If all you got is "hey I got a 3rd pedal" you are the one in denial and can't accept the world is changing.

i pick a manual over an auto any day!!! i can play video games if i just wanna push buttons a nice buttery shift at redline in a man. is way more fulfilling than and auto (no 335i is a drag, nascar, or formula car)

and read this. noone got their "clutch" handed to them??? it also has some talk about pros and cons to many and auto...

You can yell and cuss all you want, but you did get your feelings hurt or you wouldn't be getting so pissed off about it. I never said the MT was "better" or "advantageous" to a race. I just said it isn't a "driver's race" when you do a rolling start drag race in an automatic. You literally just floor it.

I only prefer MT myself because they are more fun to drive, more driver input is required, it is more of a challenge to drive/race in my opinion. My daily driver is my work truck, an AT. My car is my toy, and I enjoy my toy more (road, track, strip, etc.) as a MT. There is no point getting so upset about a difference in opinions or just a simple difference in how one uses his/her car.

I do find it hard to believe anyone who has driven an MT extensively would prefer an AT, but OF COURSE to each his own
