335xi in the Winter?
So we all know i am a total newbie, my question is how many of you on here use your xi's in the winter time? Im just wondering how they do with snow tires or with just regular tires? Im debating buying a beater 4x4 for the winter time and park it but just curious how they do? i know this year in colo there was hardly any snow but some years it gets bad.. thanks... see you all at bandimere!

Yep. We're both lowered as well. Maybe one day a year I'm a snow plow on my house's street. I fixed that all up by doing donuts up and down it. My neighbors know I'm a nut job. Colorado front range snow dumps don't last long. The snow tends to be "dry" (low water content, aka "powder") and with any sun or wind, melts/sublimates away pretty quickly. The question is whether you need xi at all. See you next year at RMC BMWCCA's ice gymkhana at/on Lake Georgetown.

Ah, maybe your question was really if you can get by with one set of tires? I highly recommend, even with only one set of wheels, trading off dedicated summer and winter tires. The joke is A/S tires stands for "always/sucks". But it's true, IMNSHO.

I love my xi with Blizzaks in the winter. Definitely a great driving around in the snow and packed snow. I'm lower than stock so it is interesting from time to time when the white crap is a bit deeper.

There isn't any snow on the ground.
