Do you mean coolant or screenwash.

If coolant then BMW Branded mixed with distilled water 50/50

If screenwash then in this weather Neat, Bmw stuff is pretty good and if your headlight washers fail you have some comeback.

I personally buy the advanced pink stuff from halfords when its on BOG OFF..

If you mean screen wash get the halfords premium stuff, claims to stay liquid down to -23.

So far so good. Use it neat.

if its coolant/antifreeze, get the BMW OEM

Its a bluey / green in colour

not advisable to mix other brands, the colour of which is the clue.

I personally stick to the one brand and always opt for the lowest freezing point screenwash. That way any additives are always mixed like for like rather than cross contamination.

BMW engine antifreeze part number B81.22.9.407.454 comes in a 1.5 litre container costs 7.62 from stealer last time I bought some. For topping up say half a litre or so I would just put in neat after the kind of temperatures we are getting!

Was -11.5 last night here so must be lower than that going across radiator at speed !!!

Why would speed make a difference?

Add some water, the stuff compresses when it gets cold so having your light on at the beginning of winter is normal. If it happened in the spring or summer, then check for a leak.
