So what do you guys think, should we push the date back just so everyone has ample amount of time to mark this on their schedule/calendar?

Let us know!

I really want a decent sized crowd to show with their cars......I've been to a meet where there was only two people, me and this other guy, which was boring with just the two of us, and I don't want to do THAT again....LOL.

LOL... I agree as well. Let's set a date at least two weeks from now , that way people would be able to fit the meet better in their schedule.

Ok, so let's make it Feb. 24th or 25th, morning or night doesn't matter to me, just whatever the majority wants.

Let us know! Keep in touch so we can make this HAPPEN!

Starts at 8ish AM though so pretty early. But a good mix of exotics, luxury and classics show up! Especially during summer as this is a weekly event.

Here is the facebook fanpage: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Cars-C...d/200707606718

Cheers!
I vote for this option.... Then we can take a short drive -1/2mile -to Cobb Surgeline and I'll give some tours of the shop. Happy to give some free Dyno pulls to one lucky attendee as well.

I recently picked up a low mileage 1M that I feel the need to share. I also have an n55 equipped 135i DCT.

We can attend this meet, but still have a different meet (the one originally planned).

so Tim, what Saturday are you planning to attend? Would like to see a 1M in person.

Please help me if you don't mind. I've got a short attention span for forums threads so i may have missed the final outcome of where to meet and when.

I am in town for the next couple of weeks on saturdays. I do have a car to tune at the shop in Tigard this saturday (2-11) in the afternoon. So i can meet in the AM but would prefer to do so near the shop. That's why the Starbucks meet is ideal. But, if i have time i'd be happy to go anywhere to meet some fellow BMW owners.

The 1M is a really cool car... the best thing is the limited slip differential. Its a hoot to slide. :-)

Regards
Tim

Hey Tim,

What's up, it's Leland......Brian told me you picked up a 1M. Nice!

We all should get together and establish a local bimmer meet. I feel like bimmers have been overlooked and we need to re-establish that......

Have you dyno'd the M yet? Or COBB it yet?

Just to clear things up for everyone.

The meet that Tim is talking about happens every Saturday. Whoever wants to go this saturday will ,in addition to meeting everyone there, get a free at COBB's surgeline shop and the 1M that Tim acquired and one lucky guy will get a free dyno. Sounds very cool, Tim and the rest of the folks there are cool (Got my car dynoed there, Tim you better remember as my car is the only 335i dynoed there per your website )

Now ack to the original intent behind this thread. We are trying to gather as many bmw owners as possible. Cstmx_ryder put FEB 24th-25th as a tentative date for that meet.

Tentative date for car meet: feb. 24/25, morning or night

Marv,

You had your car dyno'd at COBB as well? LOL....So did I. I was suppose to switch to COBB and try it out, but then I ran into some suspension problems that set me back 1.5 month, ya, that's right, 1.5 months.....LOL.

As for the Cars & Coffee, I don't really care for it, not because I don't like exotics, but I feel like on the technical/tuning side of things, there's not much in common between our cars and the exotics.......I'm more about learning more about our platform and meeting enthusiasts. Possibly even set up some DYI meets as well........

But......I've been wanting to ride in a COBB stg.2+ car, since I've never been, and see how that compares to my Procede........hint, hint, LOL.
