its not a simple drain and fill type. you have to drop the pan and replace the pan along with the filter. not sure what "plug" you were working at.

sorry that wasn't directed towards you, I quoted what you said because it sounds like the OP was damaging some unnecessary components, and should take it to a INDY shop, now the plug is starting to get stripped out

I have the DIY. I am talking about he bolt that is above the pan near the rear of the transmission this is where you refill the fluid (pump the fluid in) I have the pan (which includes the filter) I semi stripped the 8mm hex bolt (fill plug) which i ordered the new plug and am going to take it to my family members shop and they will get it out. I have the bentely manual and am doing everything correct just got careless (not paying attention and used wrong tool) Thanks for the help tho! (wrote the thread right after it happened and was freaking out lol)

well got the bolt out without any problem (hammer and screwdriver) had the new bolt ready to go and did my trans flush....everything went really smooth ie everything lined up. got about 5.5 quarts out and refilled just about as much. wasnt too much metal on the magnet, trans looked really healthy for almost 67k miles (dont baby it at all lol). fluid deff needed to be changed. Glad i did it now just waiting on my VRSF downpipes!
