How would you lose 10k that went down? you bought used, car wont depreciate that much in the short time you had it. You will lose some, but you should still get at least 8k back.

Why does it matter that its an AT? Get a JB4, downpipes and meth injection and then decide. You'll be much fast than an M3 then.

The 335 with tune is already compareable if not faster than the M. I would wait for the 2013 or 2014 (IDK which one) M3 that will be turbo charged.

The M3 is an overpriced icon car- if you must upgrade, go with a Porsche, e60 M5, or a GT-R. The 335i is almost as good as the M. Not worth the depreciation loss you will take. Also- if you've been reading in this forum lately, the 335i's are a much better tuning platform and will stomp the M very soon (they already keep up/slightly outperform M's straightline).

I think this is your problem, based this post and some of your other posts. seems like you would be much happier with a MT car. my take is that you really want to sell your AT car and get a MT instead, but you feel like you're going to lose money doing this so you might as well seize the opportunity to get a M3 instead of 335.
i think doing the m3 upgrade would be just over reacting to your dissatisfaction with your current AT 335. M3 is going to be more expensive and you're already going to take a financial hit by selling the car you just bought. so why not just sell it and get a MT 335 instead of M3. you'll still take the hit but you won't be paying a lot more on your car payment and you'll probably enjoy a MT 335 just as much as a MT m3
