Just got my new BMC Airfilter

Hey guys, the filters should be coming in before the week is over I'm hoping. Our initial stocking order of the 335i filters was delayed due to BMC Italy's computers crashing and losing all the order information. The order was expedited right again after SEMA and should be arriving any day now. Thanks!!

Does anyone know how this BMC filter compares to the ITG filter? Is it worth upgrading?

Ya basically if you read post 19 I stated the BMC is much better then the ITG filter despite other peoples opinions that never even had a BMC filter to compare it to like me.

Bottomline I'll never get a ITG filter again.And BMC has F1 Racing history to back it up.AFAIK ITG maybe might be good for other applications but not this one I'm sorry.

Do you think the EML came on in your 335i is because of another issue? Possibly with the piggy back computer you are running? We think it's just an isolated incident or two, and does not apply to itg filters in general.

We would love to see a side-by-side comparison and dyno results just to be fair.

I got mine a couple of weeks back. Compared to stock:

- Torque seems to come on even a little quicker. I think I could almost quantify this by things being a little easier to tear up in first gear, but I guess I don't really have numbers.

- With the windows up and the radio off, I can now hear the turbos spool. Never could before. It's silly, but you can literally "play" them by alternating back and forth between 1/3 and 2/3 throttle.

Check out the link I post to M3 forum.

BMC > Streamline filter on the dyno, I tested it @ SP Engineering same day back to back. BMC beats Streamline filter all through midrange from 5-8whp thorugh the powerband, peak power was pretty much even... streamline had .3 higher peak.
