some one who can afford a car like that, will not really give a flying fook about a 60 quid parking fine, and it enables them to park where they like for easy access lol!!

I have to admit that if I had a £750K car I'd probably risk a parking ticket to avoid some t**t dinging the doors in the multi story.

I'm missing something here though. I thought we'd said that this car was 'owned' by a Supercar club? In which case he isn't that rich to own it Although still probably affluent enough to afford the Supercar sub costs

Still £60 is still cheaper than getting a ding in car-park, by some beat-up Fiesta

This is unfortunately true. Which is precisely why some of us have commented that money should not be used as an excuse to behave in an anti-social manner. The guy I saw in the R8 had no right to park across 2 disabled spaces, just because he had an expensive car, any more that anyone else does. I'm sure that The Sun would not have reported a Mondeo being ticketed, though... and I agree with people who have said that unfortunately there is a lot of jealousy in this country that breeds an attitude of contempt; particularly toward those with ostentatious symbols of their wealth. As far as I'm concerned if you act like a t**t, regardless of whether you're driving a 10 year old banger or a £1,000,000 supercar! It's all the same to me!

Rockit i agree, the disabled parking is UTTERLY DISGUSTING, and they should be slapped for it. But for parking anywhere else, like outside shops on double yellaz then they shouldnt care really.

Disagree Carl. On my route to work there are cars regularly parked on double yellows for convenience... to them. They block a lane off and cause everyone to pull out around them, slowing the traffic down and adding to the general rush hour misery. Whether we agree or not, yellow lines and parking restrictions are usually there for a reason. On one road I travel regularly, double parking is favoured so people can nip into the shop without having to walk. In my book it's ignorant and self centered and often creates problems for other road users, like parking on corners at busy junctions etc. Rant over.
