Anyone ever install H&R Sport and it sits WAY too low?

That's the deal in the front.

I did everything myself. I do have to re-do the front because I put the washers in the wrong place. But I don't think that would affect the height?

I had H&R Sport before and the front DID NOT sit this low.

I installed Koni Yellows as well. THANKS MIKE for you help.

I've always read that shocks have no affect on ride height. But after doing this, it would seem that they would. If the damn thing is shorter/seats further down, it should?

Just wondering if there's something else I'm not thinking of? I know all the pieces are there. Like I said, the only thing that is wrong is the washers being in the wrong spot.

Believe me, I like it low. But this is just a little TOO low. Hold on, I'll take a pic.

I'm scraping on any bump in the road. I had these before and the front was not this low.

Not sure, but I've been thinking about this, Giz.. if you have the washer on the bottom instead of the top of the spring plate, it could effectively raise the spring plate (since the washer sits on a ledge, iirc). since the top of the spring is now higher up in the whole assembly, it is acting like a lowering perch.

That's exactly how the supreme power lowering perches work - they raise the top of the spring mounting point. So now I think you've accidentally figured out an alternate way to lower the front of our cars.

this give me an idea haha

what washers are you guys talking about? im trying to remember the front suspension setup and all the little pieces, but not sure which washer could be moved top/bottom?

washer #7 here:

if it's on top of the ledge on the strut shaft (under the spring plate), it's moving the whole assembly upward:

it's actually beefy as far as a washer goes, it's thicker in the center. The lower spring plate is concave where it sits on the ledge of the strut shaft which lets it sit a bit lower than if it were on a flat surface like a table.

It could be enough to make a difference. I have some extra ones I can look at when I get home.

I hope you're right Mike.

That washer is pretty thick. I mean...not enough that should make this much of a difference I wouldn't think.

No, I never had race. I had these same springs before and it was not this low in the front.

Hold on, I'm about to upload pics. Had to take care of a crazy three year old....

I don't have time to pull it out of the garage and it's dark out. So these can't show it too well. And don't get me wrong. I love the way it sits. I like low. But something is wrong. I had H&R Sport for damn near two years and it was not this low. And I'm scraping bad. So as much as I like the stance, I hope this comes up a bit after I re-do the front (which is what I'm going to do). At least I haven't taken the compressors back yet.

But I still can't see how this happens. Like I said, I hope you're right Mike.

You can see in my garage that before it was not this low. These pics really don't show how low it's sitting.

yeah, that's pretty low.. I'm not sure if the washer swap would make that much different.. How is the back? and were the front and rear springs the same color?
