Can any one help me with my headlight problem issue 06 e90 factory xenon headlight

Hi, my car is 06 e90 325i with factory adaptive headlight. one of my headlight couldn't turn on then i replaced the ballast and D1S bulb, after that both of my headlights couldn't turn any more. i took my car to BMW specialist and had them to check, they said i need to change both headlights ($3000 around) because some of the control until burned out and can't fix. i did purchased a used adaptive headlight ( same model) from Ebay, but they don't work for my car for some reasons. Also there is no after market headlight can work with xenon package headlight for my car. i would like to know can any one help me with the problem, i don't want to spend that much money on my car and i just want my headlight on. Can i just buy OEM headlight for my car, the one without angel eyes the regular one, not xenon.

Look for someone can read the code to find more info. I don't think it is that easy to burn out the control unit unless you short them out accidentally. Wish I can help (struggle with INPA & NCSEXPERT install right now)

If you were local I could help you out.
Try LTMW, or EAS. They should be able to diagnose and reset your footwell module to see if its an issue of the module locking out after too many error counts.

I have already took my car to BMW specialist and have them to read codes. They said i only can change new headlights. Do you know where i can find a cheap headlight or after market headlight can fit my car?

If the headlights are in bad enough condition(pitted or fogged out) and you have full coverage, you can get insurance replace them as a safety issue.

Yea like he said. Take it somewhere else to get another opinion. Maybe the BMW dealership was just trying to get money from you... nah that can't be possible.

Hai, the headlight itself will or cannot be bad that it will not turn on the lights. The headlight is just the body holding all the electric components. It have to be the ballast or the bulb. If none of that works, it could be your footwell module not your headlights. We are located at 5442 n. peck road el monte 91732 if you would like to come by so we can take a look at it. We can get you headlights as well if you need them.

hi, is that a auto body shop or something else? My footwell module is 100% works because when i plug in a regular (no xenon) headlight, it works for me car. I took my car to check and they said the problem was between the headlight and the adaptive control module, couldn't fix and need to get a new headlight.

LTMW is more like Something else lol, than just an auto body shop.

Should check them out, at least for another opinion. and they'll be honest
