short shifter for E92 335i?
I have been waiting for Rogue Engineering to come out with a short shifter for my 2008 335i coupe/ 6mt. They keep telling me it is coming.
Is there a short shifter kit for the E92 335i yet? Thanks is advance. |

I have the oem ssk and it's great. I actually only have the lever and not the full kit. It works very well. It's smooth and short. If you'd like a "full" kit, I believe UUC offers one. Other than that, there's AA, Oem, and AutoSolutions.

I've heard great things about rogue products.
I'm sure they won't dissapoint.

Interestingly BMW Performance already has a short shifter for the 135i but not 335i. Seems like they're trying to push the 135i as the track car. They also have suspension and brake upgrades for the 135i but not 335i. Stupid. Sorry to

I have the UUC in both my BMWs (including the 335i, I was the guinea pig for that one) and love them both.

Just meant that BMW has made a short shifter to buy for the 135i (from the dealer) but hasn't made one for the 335i. Other companies have. I just expected BMW Performance parts to come out for the 335i first, since it was out first. By no means to I think the BMW stuff is superior. Just making a random observation.

I think the same SSK that works for the 135i works for the 335i:
http://www.trademotion.com/partlocat...catalogid=4462 The only problem with the BMW SSK is that it is still constructed the same way as the OE shifter.....

UUC is an easy install, here is my DIY guide:
http://www.billswebspace.com/335UUCEvo3DIY.htm If you take it to a shop I don't see where they would charge you more than 2 hours for labor.

Active offers a nice setup for the price and includes all hardware necessary to install. Based on customer feedback, it's definitely a nice upgrade over OEM and provides that notchy feel lacking in the stock shifter.

Check into Autosolutions. From my understanding they make the best for an E46 M3 but not too sure of our cars???
