Success with the V41 files. CAS, CIC, and KOMBI work fine but I can't read the FRM. Going to try to the original ECU files to see if that works.
Now if I can just figure out how to get the browser/search to work....? And thank goodness for windows remote connection. It's 110deg in my garage.

So I got my $40 D-Can cable today (Only works for pre- March '07 builds, with D-CAN). Also had to get a R232 to usb adapter.
Worked fine. Used the drivers that came with the adapter. However, did anyone notice that the DIY guide in the original post has an error? After you back up and close, NCS, then open it again, load the profile, then select a module.....the DIY guide says to select CAS to get to BC_DIGITAL_V or whatever it was..... I was bugging out and thought my cable didn't work....because I couldn't find the value. Then tried the corner delete and it worked fine....going into the FRM to change it. I know the BC_DIGITAL_V is suppose to be in KOMBI now. But the DIY says otherwise.... EDIT: Misinformation up top....K-CAN is for pre-March '07. D-CAN is for post March '07. Sorry. Good news!
I was able to fix my problem. It turns out that several months ago when first started coding I fat fingered one of the valves in the NFRM module. I had two vales for the following control: PWM_WERT2_FL_BIXENON wert_02 wert_03 I believe I did this inadvertently because this was the last thing I was successfully able to code in May. After I removed the duplicate entry, I was able to recode without any problems. Thanks for everyones input.

on the main page it seems the cable provider has changed from the one most people were purchasing it from to this cable which is also 20$ cheaper...Im guessing eitherway you cant go wrong? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/BMW-U...3669e7d6d#shId |

Hey guys, was just wondering if you might be able to post the PDF because the link on the main page is dead for the PDF Tutorial.
Also where would I be able to find all the codes that I would need to perform on my 2011 335i xDrive Coupe E92? |

I searched this forum and especially this thread....Sorry for the newb Q but a buddy of mine has the cable and software and I traded him some wrenching for some coding (which I know just a little about). Anyways he had software that could communicate over a e9x 2011 CAN bus and 2008 and earlier e9x CAN buses, but couldn't seem to communicate with mine, a '09 e92. (He said he had "coded" both pre-LCI and LCI DMEs.) Is there absolutely anything special about connecting with specific model years (i.e., '09s or 10s)? We were both perplexed.

I have tried this on 3 cars now.... I can't seem to read the NFRM module on any of them.
I have V41 and I can code all the other modules just fine. Here is the error I get. Any ideas?
