Grizz311 Build Thread
Hello everyone,
I have been lurking the forums for almost 2 and a half years now, ever since I picked up an almost new 2012 E92 BSM with Coral Red interior and AT. I will do my best to dig up my old pictures of when I first got the car and my progress since. I have a whole bunch of mods sitting in my garage, waiting to be put on, as my warranty expires in 2 weeks from now. I originally came from a 350z, which I really enjoyed and still miss to these days. Here are some pics of it before I parted it out and sold it. Now onto my E92. Here is what she looked like when I first got her. I did some minor mods first like LED interior lights, swapped the license plate lights and changed the HIDS and the reflectors to match the car color, as well as the matte black grills. I also found a pair of some LM Reps, and rocked them for a while, but did not like them that much. I will post some more pictures of the car in the current state soon. I will be posting some pictures in the next coming months with the transformation from this somewhat Stock phase. Definitely with better pictures.

Here is how she sits right now. Got these BBS CHRs from JStang here on the forums. Love them!
I also recently installed a lowkick carbon fiber trunk. It is painted but shows some areas which are carbon fiber. Also Installed a quad carbon diffuser for my exhaust to go on soon.

I have question though about the exhaust. Are you getting a whole new exhaust or are you putting on dual to quad tips? I have the performance exhaust with two tips so I have no reason to get a new exhaust so now I am thinking of doing something the like the picture below. Not sure if that's the way to go or not : |

Thanks
To answer your questions: The trunk I got from one of my friends. Its pretty good fitment, not completely perfect of course. I believe that he purchased it from Mod Bargains. And regarding the exhaust question. I will be cutting my OEM mufflers and installing Remus Mufflers that already come with Quad tips. You could get other tips for your Performance Exhaust for sure, and I think it would look great, you just have to make sure that the tips you are buying are going to be good quality. I personally like both Quad and Dual set ups on the E92, I just love the way the Remus exhaust sounds. Edit: While I like the look of Burt Titanium tips, I probably would not rock them on the E92 unless the car was in a very aggressive shape already. Plus don't buy Stainless steel that has the "burnt" look. They could rust after a while depending on the metal used. Real Titanium tips could be expensive.

She's coming along great, but it looks like the exhaust tips need a slight adjustment. Also, some coils wouldn't hurt either.

Looks great!
As said above, tips need adjustment ... Also you need to post a sound clip of that exhaust with downpipes

Had a chance to put on the St coilovers a week ago or so as well as the AA downpipe.
This is how she sits right now. The rear does not go down any lower unfortunately, but the front still has some space. Opinions? Also I was kind of contemplating taking off the stainless lips off of my wheels ( they are removable, but cannot be put back on afterwards) and changing the red bbs caps for black bbs caps.

Surprised you can go lower. ST's and KW's are known to be able to go pretty low.
