I'm a pure SUCKKKKKKAAA FACE for deep dish... your car's look fcuking sweet bro! Those rims and drop MAKE the car.

What tyre set up you running?

My deep dish are rare man and I'm so close to my finished article... they're 19x8.5 and 19x10 2 piece split

I'll have it updated on the uK section soon as i'm done!! Can't wait now I've seen yours!!
Cheers dude! Will keep an eye out for yours being posted up, sounds like its gonna be sweet!
Mine are only 8.5/9.5" at the moment since I don't have the cash to spend on expensive rims (gf's birthday & two holidays taking priority :/ lol) - tyres are 215/35/19 fronts & 225/35/19 rears.

btw any more updated pics with your new wheels?
I just bought some lamin x off eBay (was actually cheaper stuff, not real lamin x just "tail light film tint"), held some paper to the rear light & traced around the white that I wanted to cover so I had a stencil, then cut it out of the film, did the usual spray with soapy water, peeled and stuck on, then heat gun (hair dryer) it on, while using a card with microfibre wrapped over it to squeeze out the water & make sure there's no air bubbles.
Super easy to do!

Getting a lip ordered up myself, should be on Friday

No updated pics cause I just have shitty iPhone pics but I'm trying to get proper pics taken soon, will be on a stand at a car show at the weekend so hopefully get some then!

Thanks dude! Not actually touching the ground as in the pictures though, they were just for sc3n3 points lol, had the back reversed on my friends drive!
Not far off it though, especially when I order the lip up on Friday it should help reduce the gap more.
You might be able to help me out, I can't really go down any further at the front cause there's no camber, but I noticed there were little alignment pins at the strut top, I was thinking I can just take these out and move the 3 bolts over as there's space to slide them across.. Is that as simple as it sounds?? Then I can get the front down a bit further!!

Thanks! Just had a quick look at your whip, you got the hamann style splitter? I'm looking at ordering it up in the next few days.

Youll get about -.3 worth of camber removing the pin and sliding the hat over. Its not worth doing cause your toe will be out of wack.

Actually needing to go round and get the wheels aligned to sort the toe out, so if I did it first then got them aligned it'd be all good? Or would the difference be so negligible that it'd be pointless? Could you even notice it?
Would just like them to sit a little more cambered to match the rears better.
Will have to get some camber plates/arms eventually and do it right, just trying to make the most of what I can at the moment without them though lol

your fronts are -.65 vs -2.0 rears, the human eye can notice half a degree anything less is hardly noticeable. -.3 wont really do much for your lowering the front issue. wait for the plates set camber and height all at once then have the alignment shop set your toe and done.

Ditto. I had the pins removed and got my alignment guy to push like -.25 camber...allowed me to go a bit lower but I'm definitely saving for camber plates down the road.

What sort of price are we talking for the camber plates? I may be better off saving up for a set of bc coilovers with camber adjustments seeing as that's what I have planned when I just got the car :/

You two have my favourite e92's on the forum! Makes me want to get the performance spoiler too! lol.

So I was down town getting a bite to eat with the gf, finally found a space up a small side streets. Was pretty small but I like to think I have decent parking skills.
Reverse in, everything's fine, about to jump out then I think... actually, i'll just go a little tighter to the curb since I know what other drivers down this way can be like and I don't want them to scrape past my car.
Tight, tight, tight, scraaaaaaaape!

Managed to give my new shiny alloy some nice curb rash
Wasn't super bad but managed to get it about half way round the whole lip!!

Excuse the finger, was to show my friend the sort of size it was.

So I went down to a hardware store and got my self a pack or assorted wet & dry paper.
Then got my friends dremel with a little buffer attachment, then some autosol.

Started off sanding it down with some 400grit paper, then 1200grit paper, then buffed it up with the dremel and some autosol, gave it a quick polish by hand and a wipe, then finished off with two layers of lacquer.

Turned out good as new!
First time ever trying to do any sort of wheel refurb, and I was surprised at how easy it was!

Wait what?? You have a gf?? She any hots ? Like better than sara?....wow good job on the rash fix! Plates run about 250 used to 400 new. Ya no worries about curbing the wheels, stretched tires or not a lil bit of tire will not protect the lip from all that force. If anything im extra cautious when parking with this kinda setup.

Who's Sara?? lol, I'll just assume my gf's better
& thanks, still surprised how easy it was to do! Had a set of borbet a's on one of my other cars with pretty mad stretch, drove down a pebbled back road and got curb rashed all round them, wish I had of known how to fix them back then.
Going to be extra careful now though!! At least for me my rims aren't that expensive. A set of works and I'd cry! haha

How did the plastidipped diffuser hold up to the temperature around the exhaust tips?

Nice car mate. Do you rear indicators still flash orange with that red vinyl on them? They look good, just wanted to double check before trying it myself.

Quick photo I took, still need to get shots with a real camera rather than my iPhone!

Excuse the dirty car!

Thanks .. Tbh I think they have a bit of a pinkish/redish tinge to them when they're flashing.. I haven't actually seen them though myself, just what one of my friends told me.

IMO, get rid of that lip you currently have and get the CPS lip off Mod Bargains.
Definately makes the car look cleaner, instead of having a lip that bulges out a fair bit. It's a bit expensive though, USD$500 but it looks x100 better.
Being a black car, it would look insane also!

Thanks man, yeah, its just fps plastic.
Sits so close to the ground, looks like its touching when you see it coming towards you! Still a good bit to go down on the coilovers if I sorted out my camber but don't know how much further I could go with the lip!

Was originally going for the cps lip, but when I seen that I could get that one for £150 there was no competition! I do think the cps looks the best out of them all, but love the look of the hamann style one too. Looks so much more aggressive with it on.

It's the first time I've seen those rims work on a car!

With the drop and new lip it looks spot on...

Top job!! Look forward to some more proper shots!

Ahh, interesting. Never knew that, & just did a quick google search and it seems to be the way to go. Also read that you can just get some green glass paint and paint the current ones and it should work fine. Will give it a go!
