Installed IS springs in my XI
Ok, so I didnt want to spend much money on suspension right now and was able to pick up a set of springs from another member that he removed from his IS to go aftermarket.
After some research, is seems that the IS springs and regular sport package springs are the same. And it's obvious that the 335i with sport package rides noticeably lower than the XI. Long story short, I was hoping just to rid myself of the huge front wheel-to-fender gap but it doesn't seem to have lowered it any!?!? I measured from the center of the wheel to the bottom lip of the fender, and both before and after, it was 15". (that's with stock 18" msport wheels)

Strut perch is different on the xi, I believe, not just spring rate on spring.

Yea but even if the perch is different, it should still lower the car some, no?

AWD Addict is right: the RWD/IS "sport suspension" is a completely different suspension package. That means the springs, dampers, bars, etc are all changed. Likely the sport struts have lower spring perches in order to allow for more/better travel, rather than just shortening the spring. Likely the sport struts are shorter, as well.
