It *appears* to be minimal-to-none brakedust, but there is some. MUCH less than before. The color of the brakedust is much lighter. At any rate, there is much less than on my previous 2007 E90. The brakes themselves seem to perform as well as before, too. This is over the first 2800 miles on the new car..

Maybe it does since I heard they are supposedly using new pads. My other concerns with the 335is is if they have resolved the wastegate rattle, fuel injector issues and ticking engine noises that showed up with the 335i for years.

I wish I someone knew. I guess only time will tell.

Ohh yeah, how about the fuel pump? Is that still an issue?

I assume HPFP will still be an issue. Had a code at 400 miles. No symptoms, but I was also already running a tune and HARD break in. WOT runs all the way to 1200 miles.... No codes or problems since then and am at 5k miles.

This car is the shit. I had to get the e93 to justify the trade up from my Audi I had bought less than a month before and the huge loss on the trade.

Get the coupe, its an amazing vehicle even if you keep it stock. DCT and the M package including suspension and exhaust tweaks are well worth it.

I haven't owned a BMW in about 6 years. I have had and still have all AMGs in my driveway except for my bastard son 335is. When washing cars I always dread to touch the S65 and C63, I sometimes feel there is no point in even washing the rims because as soon as it leaves the drive way they come back in totally covered in crud again. The 335is on the other hand, just takes a microfiber with water, and they're polished to a high luster!

Hopefully when I need to get my pads changed under the maintenance program, they will install the dust-less versions.

I agree with this. Much less brake dust compared to my e46 ZHP.

+1. I've gone 500 miles 97% city with almost no dust. It's amazing.

So I assume that when I get my break pads replaced, I will get the new dust-free version?

My 07 E90 would turn Gunmetal inside a week. My '10 doesn't have that problem.
It isn't all LCI E90s, because mine is horrible. I give the wheels a bath, and after the first drive it starts to accumulate again. Drives me nuts. I use a wheel conditioner that is supposed to help, but it doesn't do much. I love Space Grey, because it never looks filthy, but the wheels give it away.

The 335is generates less dust by a factor of 10 compared to my previous 330ci. It has to be the pads... Also the large 19in 313s probably help with better dust dispersion on my model. The finish on these ferric gray wheels is very smooth, I wonder if that helps. Anyways, these large 313s are some of the nicest wheels BMW has made...

Noticed the minimal brake dust on my IS this week when I went in my garage to clean off my wheels and, alas, there was nothing to clean. The wheels on my 135i, on the other hand, had gone from bright silver to gun metal, lol.

My 2010 E90 M Sport produces very little brake dust. This is my 3rd BMW so I'm quite familiar with wheel cleaning. Now, its so much easier! They must have made a change to MY2010 vehicles. Thank you BMW!!!!!!
