Very light steering

I need your help here. Ever since I changed my winters to summer RFT's ( a week back), the steering is extremely light and is hard to control while changing lanes or due to minor road imperfections.

I dont think it would be the alignment since everything was fine on the winters. Could it be the steering rack or balancing or something else??

On another note, I lost my wheel lock key :S.

Odd. My steering became lighter when I changed from my RFT's to winters.

If they were out of balance they would be bouncing at higher speeds. Do you feel or hear a thump thump, in the steering wheel at speeds of 60 or greater?

And did you check the tire pressures? Most BMW have a recommended front/rear differential of 3 to 8 lbs. If the fronts are relatively overinflated, that could lighten the steering feel and would lessen high speed stability.
