Yandyr, when you are logging, make sure your battery setting on your laptop is set to high performance. On lower settings, the comp will drop power to the USB.

It is hot and humid as hell in Florida already. We'd be lucky to see 75 degree weather at night for racing. For reference, some of my others friend's cars are down almost 5 mph from the winter.

yea, I'm not one for power saving on my laptops.. lol all of them are set to ON all the time, until I close the lid or turn the display off manually. I think it's childish to think that conditions wont affect it...

But like I said, I'm not the expert here... so only one way to find out.. long wait till we get 60s again though.. lol

Thanks

Weather play a huge role in how tuned n54s run at the track. Stock tune has the ability to run more boost when temps get high. Not so with full boost tunes.

So you're saying the drags will make launching idiot proof?

I think he is running just great. Isn't this quicker than ETs for 135 MTs up north?

Yea I remember seeing that post, was pretty amazing.. Where is he? what track does he go to?

Just wondering, trying to compare conditions that's all.

There are no 135i MTs on drag radials up north that I know of. Only one that rings a bell is boostedcosta who ran 11.82@117 on drag radials, but he's an e90 6MT.

I guess I might be one of the first tuned 135is up in the tri-state with drags to attempt a run at the 11's I don't think I'll do it though, I don't trust my shifting abilities and I've never launched on drags before.

I have the same performance mods as Yandyr except FMIC and 2nd cat delete, so it will make it even more unlikely that it will happen.

It was 118 actually, but he did 12.15@118 on street tires. To this date I don't know how that's possible!

This is what you said previously in a discussion about weather conditions. Now, you aren't saying that to be true?

I guess you are agreeing with me now?
It looks like he lost more than 6 mph.

In the context of that discussion, we were talking about your claim of picking up many MPHs in trap on the same track (Sac) with relatively moderate changes in conditions. I don't think yandyr is going to run 125mph traps in Florida. But in less humid conditions (humidity is bad for
power) with a more aggressive tune setting and a catback, I have no doubt he will run 120+ traps like several others with the same tune and mods. It doesn't seem like that track is known for high traps. Esp this time of year.

Also, I doubt yandr is seeing IATs below ambient as we routinely see in CA. But who knows. I hate bench racing.

Shiv

I doubt he would lose that much mph because when I ran my car here during the end of winter I was getting 112traps then on one of the hottest days I lost 3mph with only JB3 and DCI...it could be that I upped the boost in a struggle to stay in high 12s for the Eurowarz tournament...atleast iwas the 3rd fastest car out there...****** was second and kept getting low 12s at 118 with meth and race gas...fastest was a 996TT running mid 10s without trying.

all in all he might of lost 2mph at the absolute most but I doubt even that

and to whoever said florida's heat is < california's they are absolutely right...thats one reason I wanna move out there
