BMW Navigation DVD 2012 released

Looks like the 2012 navigation DVDs are now on sale. You can view the map data online here:

This way you can see if the new data has the updated roads you need on it, which is very useful. More countries are now covered in the Europe version also:

I can't find any torrents for it yet - the originals are for sale on eBay but if anyone find anything let us know here. I will update this if I get any updates.

What differences are in here then 2011 besides the roads?

Like in 2011 they released camera detection and speed trap detections...

I didn't think the 2011 DVDs had speed cams on them unless you added them yourself.

Anyway, more information is trickling through:

The 2012 version for Europe is on 3 single layer DVDs
Cyprus is now included in the mapping for the first time

The 2012 Navigation Map updates for the US is expected to be released late this year according to my email exchange with Tele Atlas (http://store.bmwgpsmaps.com ), BMWs vendor. That's all they would say at this point.

It's interesting how long it takes between developing the new map data and it going on sale - the 2012 Europe DVDs have data from Q4 2010 on them. The 2011 DVDs had data from 2009.

most map updates also update your points of interest.

You got the 2011... go Nav, options (iDrive knob to the right) and look for Map version.

Mine's at the VPC today, maybe they're loading the 2012 maps!

The 2012 DVD released are for Europe and not necessarily for the CIC iDrive of ours. The 2012 USA Premium (CIC) maps are not available yet...

Do you have any reference for that?

As I am looking for Cyprus map and I can't find it anywhere...
