new to forum. What mods void warranty?

this is my first post, i was just wondering if any light engine mods would void the warranty on my 335i. also could i put new rims and tires on the car even though they are not run flat? or would check lights come up on the dash?

ok...the engine mods viod warranty if they break something and it was because of the aftermarket product you installed, otherwise theres really no problem... and yes you can put new rim/tires and youll need for a no error is sensor if im not wrong

Your best bet is to talk to the service manager/head tech at your dealership to see what their definition of an 'acceptable' mod is. When I asked mine, I was told ECU reflash/piggyback mods are OK, as long as I don't modify the actual engine internals.

Other dealers aren't as accommodating ...but I doubt anyone will grief you about after market wheels/tires, as long as they aren't 52inch superswampers or something.

You can put new rims/tires but will need to add TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitor Sensors - $50 per) to avoid error lights.

Anything other than 91 octane fuel. I would even worry about what type of wax you use.

There is a warranty sticky on the forums, please read it.

Any mod directly related to a problem can void warranty. Such as charlies famous "drag radial tires" causing his fuel pump to fail. "Because the wheel circumference was different from stock."

Too many bugs on the windshield and bumper will cause alignment and balance issues.
