I got my email on Monday but USPS received it April 3rd. It just left the Bell Gardens, CA facility yesterday. I probably won't have it by tomorrow. Plus I need to take my car in for service next week for a dim headlamp and will have to wait to install it now.

Got my intake in the mail yesterday! Installed last night... fitment seems to be good. Sounds good... Had all the windows down and the sunroof open at 10:30pm last night with it being about 45 degrees... Sounds great... Initial response... Feels good on Map 2 with the JB4 and my the AR downpipe. Will do some extensive "testing" this weekend with it!

I hope I get mine today but highly doubt it. It's looking more like Monday.

What about the missing screw to hold the intake in the OEM air box? is it moving in the air box? Rubbing? Any effect of heat inside the plastic air box?

Beat the car and see if everything is normal.

i asked the same question to Mike... they have a special bracket/bolt [coming]... hopefully soon. I used about 4 zip-strips together and secured the intake arm in the meantime.

From the install manual: "...Step 6: We've made a small bracket to center and hold down the BMS intake assembly to the OEM airbox bottom. It attaches to this screw and slides in the OEM airbox bottom. This piece is not critical and the first 100 intakes are being shipped without it. But once it is ready we'll send it out to everyone and can be installed in the circled location at that time..."

hope that helps.

In the meantime try to monitor any issue with this. You will know real fast if thing are rubing on your Hood or in the air box! 2-3 sprited ride is enough to know if thing are moving and rubbing anormaly.

Don't you think that bracket should come with every intake and not just the first 100 intakes? I wouldn't want an intake that's moving around under the hood. Also how would you know if your intake is one of the first 100 intakes that were made?

no... the first 100 were shipped w/o the bracket; after that all will ship WITH the bracket. BMS is saying that it is not critical - they will send it out asap to us - in the meantime use zip-strips.

+1. When that brackets are ready from the machine shop they will ship them to everyone. Actually you don't even need zip ties. The intake just sits there and isn't going to go anywhere. The bracket just makes it a little more of a professional install.

Yea, There is barely any room for the intake to shift back and forth anyway.. I'm not to worried about it. When the bracket comes in, it will get installed... No Problems

some of us run without the plastic covers and bits to gain better access, the movement is very noticeable, but with zip ties it's secure.

Just got mine today. I would have gotten it on Saturday but since I had it shipped to work I didn't get it until today. I have to take my car into the dealer first to have a headlamp checked out so I probably won't be installing mine until I get that fixed.

Installed.. Seems like a more subdued sound than the aFe (somehow..) but the simplicity, quality of connections, and ease of install make this by far a better unit. Very pleased for the $$.
