Winter tires for 18" staggered Style 193s

I have 19"s for my summer setup.
I purchased staggered 18" OEM style 193 wheels to use as my winter set-up.
ie, fronts are 8" and rears are 8.5"
I am now looking for winter tires.
My question is...should I buy staggered Blizzak LM-60's 255s and 225s
Tire Rack has a good close-out price on the non run flat LM-60's 255s ($167 each)
Or... should I buy square 225/40 18 - LM-32s?
My concern is the 225s being stretched on the rears 8.5" because the 8.5" rears are designed for 255's
Please advise
Thanks, Jeff

If you have "proper" winters i would recommend using 225/40/18 at front and rear. The stretch difference isn't that big. Here is good comparison 225/45/17 at 8 and 8.5 wide http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=85623

If you want i can take a picture of my 225/40/18 Continental IceContact at 18x8.5 wheel.

From my searching, there are no proper staggered 225/40, 255/35 set-up in the LM-60s available. The only ones you can get proper staggered set-up are Michelins. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Best bet is 225/40R18 all around. Many use this setup and do not feel that they look stretched on 8.5" wheels.

Gary sold me 225/40/18s Dunlop Wintermaxx for my 193s and I cannot find one bad thing to say about the set up. As he stated they do not even appear stretched.

I had Conti DWS installed yesterday and the rears do not appear stretched with the 225/40/18 on the 193M rears.
On another note, Conti DWS is a great tire and significant ride improvement compared to the runflats.
