Can be done, but the leather would need to be supplied by you.

Yes, it does hold you in there pretty good. I am 155 with a 31" waist, so there is still room to move around. If you are around 180 with a 35-36" waist, I don't think you can move one bit.

The leather and suede makes it very comfortable!

OK, so 36" waist 220lbs, too much?

I've sat in Pole Positions before I went on my "God I feel disgusting and have to be weighing down my car diet" I was 5'10", 36-37" waist, ~215lbs and they still felt great. They don't really latch onto you like pro racing seats like I guess Recaro's Profi or Cobra's Imola S. They are insanely comfortable...

I bought a Cobra Imola S a while ago, I was going to put into my '74 Beetle as a joke but ended up not using it and giving it to my roommate to put into his 240sx. That thing HOLDS you...to the extent of...you need to pop your way out of it. The Pole Positions are just...a tighter sport seat in my opinion... which is nice

The pole position is actually okay for daily use, still very easy to get in and out. If you are serious tracking your car, I recommend the Profi for the added support.

Seats will make a huge difference in terms of weight, holding you in place, and feedback from the car.

If anyone has questions regarding the Recaro seats in the E9X or just Recaro seats in general, please feel free to give us a call.

This mod alone will shave 80+ pounds off of your 335i and improve the seating for much more support for spirited driving.
