Noob Xenon Questions

Hello All,

I know that this (or something similar) has been asked time and time again, but I still have not found a satisfactory answer.

I have seen DIYs on halogen to xenon conversions, but the one dominant feature I see in each of these threads is not you cannot use an adaptive xenon when doing that conversion (am I right?). So, is there such a thing as a non-adaptive pre-LCI OR LCI xenon (OEM of course)? If so, where might I find a pair?

Thanks in advance for your help!

I have a similar question. I would like to replace my 2006 330i 4dr e90 headlights. My owners guide says I have Xenon Adaptive, but I have never noticed any movement of lights while driving or standing still.

I would like to replace with something like...

http://www.xtralights.com/06-08bmwe9...itpackage.aspx

But these don't say anything about "adaptive".

Can anyone tell me what will happen if I put these in my car (assuming my headlights are adaptive)? Will they:

1) Work, but issue computer failures.
2) Not work at all.
3) Work, but require special wiring. If this is the case, how difficult is it to do myself?

Also, what makes the headlights "adaptive"? Is there additional wiring? Is there a motor that rotates the lights when turning?

there is a little lever attached to your roll bar that will make them raise or lower when going down/up hill

adaptive xenon (S524A) has a motor and additional wiring, and I believe a specific footwell module (FRM1 does not work)

if you have it, it is only active when the headlights are set to "automatic", having them in the on position does not activate it.
