(E90) DME/CAS sync using INPA.
Hi fellas,
I was working Bimmergeeks data cable and doing a back to Stock Flash from Bimmerlabs website, which isn't working. I'm currently working with hash to solve the issue, but his time is limited for troubleshooting. After trying a few thinks to get the flash to stick my car cranks, but does not start. The synopis is that my DME is no longer communicating. So Step 1 is make the DME communicate. After reasearching I understand that one reason can be that my DME/CAS is out of Synch, and this can be solved VIA INPA. I found some instructions on another thread, but i would like some help translating it to apply to my situation as the instructions are for a diesel car. My car is a 2007 E90 328xi with ECU MSV80. How you do it? 1- Launch inpa 2- Select the engine 3- Choose the model of the engine (MSV80) 4- Select option: activate (usually F5 but check in your inpa) 5- Select option: EWS 6- Select option: reset ----> in progress ----> click ok 7- Bak to the main menu, ie, back, back, back, and close the INPA 8- Open the inpa and check the errors. That errors should have gone by now. If we can check for erros then DME is responding. 9- Turn the ignition off, remove the obd connector and start your car. These steps fail at step #5. |

MSV80 has EWS4 system with 16 byte S/K and it does not support sync.
i.e. there is no sync on that car. |
