Spoiler Question

Im thinking of getting the lip spoiler for my coupe, just wondered where people have bought from before and how good a fit are they?

Thanks in advance,

Alex

I went for BMW original because I wanted to ensure it looked perfect, also got dealer to fit when they painted it because I know if I did it myself it just wouldn't look perfect.

Others have bought from SSDD and have been very happy with the results and saved a bit of cash.

Can I ask how much that cost from the dealer?

I've look at the ssdd ones, just worried about fitment or colour match!

I used SSDD - ask for Teddy- make sure you let him know that Nitesh sent you!!

He will sort you out. His prices are really good. The paint work on the M3 Style Lip I got from him looks great. I'll be fitting it sometime this weekend - weather permitting!

I would and have used SSDD speak with Teddy, he can supply pre painted spoiler for the car looks identical to the OEM but will save you lot of wonga.

All he needs is your paint code when ordering.

£49inc painting (Standox paint) and delivery from eBay - fits absolutely perfectly, colour match perfect. Im quite astounded tbh at how brilliant it is. Could not ask for any more - a true rare eBay bargain.

OEM is ridiculously overpriced for a 1.5 metre piece of plastic. £150 plus £50 for painting. And that's if u can get a dealer to give you one. They are on a very strict supply to M3 owners only. Need an M3 VIN or a good relationship with your dealer.

Once you get one of these for £59 you'll laugh about the fact you even considered paying over £200 for a piece of plastic. I know. Because I did. And don't think im a pikeys, I paid £350 for my front Aero lip from BMW but thats because I wanted a perfect fit and the front lip is a much more complicated design. The lip is a much simpler design and therefore much easier to copy. Didn't even need bending - just sticking. Most paid free mod I think ive ever had!

Hint: don't use the tape they provide. Get some No More Nails tape (should be red). I got the impression the tape they provided might have been a bit iffy even though it was 3M.

I used 3M tape while it looked same as one they provide, holds well but at same time when I had to have the boot repainted recently comes off easily enough leaving no marks.
