Bizarre! - both light washers?
just drove home from the missus's place. As soon as I got out I noticed that BOTH light washers were missing.
Something happened yesterday too. I drove the car but when I pulled the wash stalk nothing happened. I have plenty of screen wash too. A few mins later they worked fine and have done since. Dunno if this is linked? Has anyone had a problem with their light washers? Looks like Ive got to source 2 of the little fuckers now, could have done without it as I bet BMW charge a kidney for them too. Anyone else had this or has some thieving skanky c**t just nicked 'em? |

The jets froze up and water expands = they get ejected.
Unfortunately a common issue on these cars. Super concentrate your screenwash to avoid it happening again once you've replaced them..

Another quick question, all I'm left with now is two unsightly holes in the bumber. Is the cover and nozzle a one piece affair or do I need to be ordering several bits and putting them together?

Is it just the covers and not the entire unit?
In my time if having my car I had the complete unit and cover replaced under warranty. Just a few weeks ago I lost a cover. The cover of the washer that was replaced only months before. It was refused under individual part warranty and my extended warranty. The cost for the cover fitted was £33 plus VAT. The washer system is a design flaw without a doubt. A real pain in the backside to have to worry about bits falling off your car all the time. |

Tough one Mart, but quite a common occurence on the BMW's.
If you do a search there are quite a few threads on the problem, and some with pics which will help you identify what bits have gone awol. This pic should help,I'm sure Doc Dave won't mind: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showpo...4&postcount=31 Last edited by Hotcoupe; 02-12-2012 at 04:06 PM.. Reason: Found Pic |

Anyone k ow if these are any good for me? I can get the covers easy enough too off eBay. Luckily the car goes in next week for some insurance work so getting them sprayed up is no problem.
