3rd oil service? Servicing questions?

Ok, my car has had 2 services and is now on 52k miles, had -

Engine oil, brake fluid and micro filter @ 20k

Engine oil, vehicle check, fuel filter, helix oil and air climate parts or something @ 41k

It's now on 52k and I want to change the oil, should I go for this 3rd oil service or wait until 60k and just do the oil now?

Also, what the hell is a 3rd oil service include to be so expensive?

How often do micro filters need doing?

Thanks in advance

Alex

Why do you want to change the oil now? Has the condition based service indicator alerted you to the fact it needs doing?

Not yet, but it's done 10k since the last change and I'd rather change it at 10k than 20k that's all.

In that case just do an interim oil change now, save the 'proper' service till it's due at 60k.

That was what I was thinking, does anyone know why this 3rd oil service is so expensive? What does it involve?

I was under the impression that glow plugs also get changed on third oil service in diesels and spark plugs in petrol cars.
Please correct me if I am wrong.

Do micro filter yourself, MUCH cheaper and an easy job to do.

Try maindealerdiscount.com? And haggle your local down, ask for discount etc if they can't meet it
