Stepfather is wanting a 2011 528i worth it?
So like it says my stepfather is wanting to buy a 2011 528i. I was thinking about a slightly older model 535i would it be worth it? I of course would like the more power but which would be more comfortable. Overall which would be nicer to own and be the smarter buy considering, maintenance, and upkeep. His price range is 32k-38k with less then 45k in miles. Any input would be helpful and appreciated.
Thanks, Josh

^that e60's are losing value fast. unless he needs the power or is into cars, 528 will be great for him.

Yeah it would make more since to go mor reliable he probably wouldn't care that much in the trade off of power. However with that given price range and mileage, would there be make of a car that would contend with the 528i? I love BMW but I'm just trying to get the best option for him.

Unless he gets a ridiculous deal, he might as well save his money and get a 335 or something else. The 528i is a bigger and heavier 328i. There are many cars out there that can contend with the 528i, but it all depends on what he likes and what he's looking for most in a car. If I wasn't sold on BMW, I would probably get a G37, I had one as a rental as it was a lot better than I ever expected.
