Vcds or similar obd tool for BMW?
I have vcds for my vw golf (mk5) which is fantastic. It reads fault codes, real time data from individual sensors and allows you to code the car (eg seatbelt warning, DRLs, & enable retrofits). It was c£200 for the genuine micro-can cable and in my opinion good value.
I use a mac and run vcds with virtualbox and win7pro without any problems. Is there a similar tool out for BMW? Not that I have any problems! Thanks. |

I think Bavarian Technic is the only one that really works with BM cars.

Just got one of these Bavarian Technic cables and I have to say, it works really well.
Only had a brief play, but it took all of 5 mins to get working. I know that you can get various pirated versions of BMW software and make it work, but didn't fancy taking the risk with my car and I don't have an old windows laptop anyway. Neil at Juiced up tuning can source them for you for £180 ish (didn't get mine from him - I bought mine second hand). |
