WTB: Cobb AP
Hi Peeps,
My RB's are due to arrive shortly, and i need to purchase a Cobb for the backend flash. I'm keeping my JB4 G5. If anyone has a unit they are not using, would love to take it from you! Thanks guys. Ian. |

I'm not comfortable with the open source back end flash.

It all depends. Is it the process of BB flashing you are concerned with or the type of back end you want to use? I'm sure Terry has a flash ready to go for use with RB's which you can flash with the BT tool.
I have the JB4 stacked with Wedge's flash. Flashed it with the BT tool. No problems here.

Flashing with the COBB AP is much easier and safer plus you always have a resale value. If you don't play around with ATR or Tunerpro then it doesn't really matter I guess but I find myself always changing things in ATR and with the AP it's quick and easy to flash between maps.

Yep, it's for the RB upgrade.
I've just seen soo many bad stories with the open source flash which has put me off it. @335i-boy are you in Sydney? |

Terry uses bt cable for flashing for RB cars, not cobb ap anymore.
He suggests to start of with the race flash with RB's. My RB's are due this Friday. |

I have an AP that I have used once to put on backend flash and then to return to stock in order to update my DME version. I wanted to keep using it but could not get the file from Terry anymore for the newer version as he was only doing BB Flash.
I was going to hang on to it in case things in the market place changed but doesnt look like it will go back. Terry said it was pending Cobb opening up the maps but when I emailed them they said there was no plan to do so. It was very easy with the Cobb and no need for 50A chargers etc. If you're interested flick me a PM, its still in the original box. |

Not needed anymore, went with the BMS flash route via the BT cable.

I flashed the race map as I'm running meth. Pump map is for you if you're not running met or e85. Last edited by _ink; 05-02-2014 at 08:15 PM.. |
