I plastidipped my stock winter sets last season. It held thru multiple car washes and salt/rocks...No chips at all after 4+ months

Old post but I'm thinking about doing this to my 189 wheels. Post a pick of how they look on the car please!

looks great, cheap alternative to painting and powder coating. I have powder coated many wheels for a few friends and that's the only sure way for longevity and toughness. great job.

I have since powder coated my rims and my buddy has taken the plasti dip off his rims, I will see if I can get any pictures from when he had the plasti dip on his rims on the car

Same here. 2 winters so far and they are holding up fantastic. I dont think i put it on thick enough though so i may have a hard time getting it off.....

Yup..i have them back on my car for the winter and its still holding up fine...It's no fun ripping off plastidip in little pieces so i made sure i had THICK coats. I think i used about one can per wheel. I sprayed so much it actually took almost a week to completely dry out
