Lets not focus on Shiv.

It is about Rob's and VTT contributions to the current inundated N55 platform. I for one would patiently wait for a stable turbo upgrade solution.

However if I was the vendor I would appreciate If the continues requests for a progress update would minimize. A fixed bi monthly update from the vendor would suffice.

This is a great thread.

Anyone have RB or Vargas dyno overlayed with the stock N55? I'm worried about spool up. I do enjoy my gobs of torque at 2500 rpm!

How would anyone have a dyno when there isn't even a car running with either kit yet? They are still in the development stage.

+1.^^ ha.

But it is certainly fair to say that the VTT setup will have better spool as it will be a hybrid setup using the much smaller housings and wheels (which will limit power, but help spool).

I understand, just looking for a dyno on a similar vehicle, say the graphs produced for the 2.5L Subaru, granted the engine is smaller but just looking to gauge spoolup.

How does one expect to run this when we have no backend flash available for the ECU? I ran the Walbro E85 pump for a period of time...and my engine threw codes constantly, something i'm not willing to endure while still under warranty. I'm assuming a relay could trick the fuel pump ecu, but other than that it will be difficult to hold >400rwhp on the n55 on stock fuel.

Agree. We will be creating numerous problems in the pursuit of power, that will need be solved. No point speculating on how things will be handled, best to just await to see what (if any) immediate issues there and work through them accordingly. That is modifying cars for you.

The joys of being the first to do break 400rwhp in an n55. Good luck! I'm here if you need a tester.

Can't wait for updates!

i would be overly happy with 450'ish whp n55 FBO car.

If this was available I think a lot of people would be all over it.

Anyone know where the dyno chart, black background went of the GT3076X vs the RB turbo upgrade?

Guys,

Agree with Tony with the right moods you can effectively get 500-550 hp with the hybrid approach.
With just a fine remap, K&N filter and a exhaust valve I could get is around 390-405 hp.
However with complete intake change, intercooler, exhaust and hybrid I will get around 500-550 for sure.

great job Tony...the history will tell...

Bye.

I would let him use mine (2011 e90, AT) but I am on the East coast. The N55 forum bitches for a year and a half that there are no turbo upgrades to be had and now that one is almost done, nobody will give up their car as a tester. We are really making a great business case for these guys going forward. Look, nobody even wants to buy your kit at cost, but hurry up and make it already so we can all talk shit to N54 owners.

Somebody step up and give these guys a car.

RB is out see link:
http://www.n54tech.com/forums/showpo...&postcount=428

PTF is developing an upgrade.

Current options are Vargas: stage I, II (DBB vs JB) and Pure stage I.

Local shops might fabricate an upgrade for you, but takes ~2 wks and approximately $7,500.

I cant open that link, but your saying that RB already has an upgrade for n55? I thought it wasnt released yet?

And there arent many reviews on Vargas stage II for n55.

I'm sorry for that link...

Basically Rob said that he is NOT going to produce a stage II for the N55... But add something about if he does it will be a very very small batch.
