VANOS codes after belt swap?

2007 335i, 104k miles.

So my belt shredded and I swapped it out and it runs fine, no weird noises (relatively speaking) but now anytime I give it a little bit of throttle it goes into limp mode and kicks out 2A87, 2A82, and 2A98. Any ideas how I couldn't affected the VANOS solenoids from that, much less BOTH solenoids?

Did you forget to plug them back in? Maybe the belt damaged the wires. I would check the wires.

I never unplugged them, but definitely possible that the belt hit them. It was wrapped around a few of the pulleys.

I had the same issue about 6 months ago.. Pretty sure little bits of your belt went inside the engine, Clogged up the oil pick up tube and reducing the oil pressure to the vanos system hence the vanos codes.
