Integrated key smells bad?

I have always wondered why the integrated key always smells bad and has some sort of yellow grease on it, does anyone else notice this or is it just me?

My 08 E90 and 11 E90 had a waxy yellow grease on it too. My 2012 335is FOB does not have any of the grease nor smells bad, it is squeaky clean. weird....

Don't pick your crack with it. Usually eliminates the issue.
