Eccelstone gets Mugged

Has anyone else seen the news that Bernie Eccelstone got mugged yesterday? I had a real good laugh at this one.

I am glad he's okay, I don't wish any ill will on anybody, but after what he said about Jenson Button in Brazil I thought he was kind of asking for something like this to happen to him. Apparently they stole approximately 200,000 British pounds in jewelery from his girlfriend.

London (AP) -- Formula One boss Bernie Ecclestone has been attacked outside his London office and robbed of jewelry worth $314,000.
London police say the 80-year-old Ecclestone was treated in a hospital for a minor head injury after being punched and kicked by four men following his arrival at the Knightsbridge offices of Formula One Holdings on Wednesday night.
Police are investigating but have not arrested anyone.

Totally agree! I had the exact same thought when I read the news. I felt his comments on JB's attack in Sao Paulo were very flippant. "Someone tried to sell him a hat!". Well, maybe these nutters in London were also trying to sell Bernie a hat? Karma?

OK, maybe a bit harsh, and again, I don't want to wish ill on Bernie, and certainly don't want to condone what these nutters did.

It's rough but I love F1. That being said I hate the way it's come in the past couple years and he's largely to blame. That man needs to be relinquished of his duties in one way or another
