Hey dude

it's when you unlock your car, don't you hear a whine (not sure if this is the correct word, but it's the only noise you hear) for a couple of seconds? That's your pump priming. It started happening after the latest software revision by BMW...

Ah yes, I have heard that ever since I got my car. I always wondered what that was. I thought it was the battery engaging from sleep. haha,

BTW,
on version 15 now, waiting for 16. Damn rain, suppose to clear up after tomorrow.
loving the Air Temps, IATs not going above 90 on 2nd pull. Just dialing in some throttle closures and should be done.

Nice and cool here this time of year but i agree. So ok dumb question time...on the AP the IAT the Air Temp TB signal and not the Charge Air Temp, correct? Also where is the Charge Air Temp Sensor located?

I've used a few of the Stage 1 maps and pumped always primed as well. May try the 1+ Sport see what happens then reload the 1+ Agg

Thanks

IAT as I know it is; Intercooler Air Temps which is the same as Charged Air Temps on the COBB for logging.

Good luck! I had a chance to do some testing but my fuel was 3/4 full so couldn't add enough E85 and now it is raining again That's the PNW for you.

Low IATs are great... the car really felt different in the morning! but to be honest my IATs are always below ambient now :P

I'm almost done as well. I'm at V10 with the E50+meth map. Total >25 versions tested so far hehehe

it does kind of suck that when we finally get the MAPs done, we really can't enjoy it. O'well that's what happens when I wait. well I blame it on some merchandise that took all of August to get.

That's exactly how I feel! All that work and we'll have to wait till July (at least here in Oregon) to enjoy it...

What merchandise? your FMIC and other mods?

Sounds to me like you guys are suffering from a deficiency in the number of wheels driven by the motor.

I'm out of ideas on this one May be someone else can chime in with more ideas. Your issue is not tune related. Start a thread on this, so more people can see it.

Question for those with Automatics

I've been running logs on my automatic and decided to add two (2) items to the log (gear and speed). After putting in my FMIC I went out to do some logs with Stage 1+FMIC to make sure there were no codes. I put the car in DS and shift to M3, hold the car steady at 2,500 rpm, and then hit WOT. All of the logs show that the car shifts down to M2 before I shift it at 6,500 or so and then go through M3 to 6,500 or so and onto M4. My question is how do you keep the car from shifting down to M2 when you go WOT? Is there a setting I need to change?

Thanks.
