Pretty much the same here ... slightly louder overall, but nothing drastic or really noticeable.
I have not even heard the legendary "spool" noise, except when I turn the car off, you can hear them spooling down more clearly than stock. |

Injen DCI here and I can clearly hear the turbo spool when stepping on it and can clearly hear the DV as well (much more at high RPM). I don't even have a tune yet and it sounds really great !

Are you running a tune?? I could hear my turbos when I just had my COBB tune on, but now it's even more audible w/ my aFe intake |

Heard it all morning, from a stop if you give 75% throttle or more you'll hear the turbos from about 1800 RPMS up to 4k easily.

Idk about that, then again I never bothered w/ a drop-in filter with the stock box. Going from the OEM box w/ a paper filter to the aFe there's def a significant difference in sound. The BMS DCI is supposed to be a little more audible.

Just installed my Cobb programmer with my Stage 2 AFE and someone is crazy if they can't hear the turbo spooling.....it's almost too loud for the daily driver.....I'll take it though......

So I forgot to completely close my hood one day and the "spool" sound with the AFE intakes was significantly louder. Normally though, I can barely hear or feel a difference from the AFEs. I will have to try AFE + Cobb soon to see if I feel/hear any difference with that.
