I'm not a trust fund baby, so I'll probably replace my current E38 with a newer example when the time comes. But since I like so many cars, and I don't make that decision until it's time to replace, who knows what will strike my fancy at that time.

I love all the aspirations here, like Porsche Turbo. My next dream car would be an F430 or ZR1. Realistically, it would be an E90 M3. Reality is I'll keep my 330 forever and upgrade our other "family" car to something that seats 7 since we have a kid now and have family and friends that visit and ski the slopes.

I plan to keep the Z4M forever, so I'll replace my daily driver Civic next.
Probably with a used E90 or E60, or a new Cadillac CTS.

I LOVE my 335i... that being said, economic contraints aside I am considering any of the following

2011 F-10 550i
C63 AMG
X- 5 35d
W212 E-class
the new CLS - class (an AMG maybe)
the CL600
any 911 (preferably the gt3 or the targa)

Over 30 years, you don't have to have a lot of money to buy a cheap car, fix it up, and sell it or trade it for another one. Most of those cars cost less than 2 grand to buy/build up. Some were more expensive, but not a lot. Don't assume that I a) had all the cars at once, or that b) they were expensive cars.

For example, the E38 in my sig only cost me $7500. That's no Porsche Turbo money. It's not even 1 Series money.

Since I mentioned Porsche and Turbo, I'll assume you are referring to my post. My dd is a Cayenne S that I bought in 2004, I have almost 80,000 miles on it (about time to start shopping, probably this summer). It is completely reasonable to trade up to a Turbo, or Panamera if it is priced similarly to the C-Turbo.

After the 335i, unless there are some smoking deals in 2 years, probably a used awd sedan...maybe an evo or something? This is assuming I'm not ROLLING in money in 2 years.

Of course this would all change if i was single and not going the whole engagement thing....damn, fiance or bitchin car? that's a tough call...haha

I know what I look for in a car, so I guess when my time is ready, I will see what's out there.
