Just saw this on the W&W website. Looks like our arrival has been pushed back a day, but they apparently think they can get all of the cars off of the boat in less than 24 hours. Pretty impressive for 700+ cars.

Yeah - I was suspecting as much. TAGUS was still sat around at the canal until midday the day after she passed through it

When it's really going to start killing me is after she docks and then our cars sit there over Labor Day. At least now I don't feel like there is anything I can do to make things go faster. I'd be happy to fly to LA and just pick it up off the dock.

OK, well you got me. It started killing me as soon as I got done ordering the car. I've had bad luck with brand new cars so I'm confident this is going to be my life changing car.

'04 Acura TL - (my fault) backed it into a pole 2 hours after delivery. Ooof.

I considered asking if that was an option

My dealer is still convinced he'll have it ready for me to pick up on 9/6 though - even with the new date at port.

Agalbraith - why is your dealer so sure? 9/6 is a pretty tight time-frame, given the holiday weekend.

I'm thinking of taking delivery in the Bay Area instead of in Seattle. Has anyone had any experience taking delivery at a different BMW center than where you ordered your car?

I'd like to do the same thing if that was possible, it would save me trailering the car down to Fremont to get the clear bra done. Let me know what you find our about delivery at a different dealer, if it can be done does anybody know the closest dealer to Fremont, CA

I don't know. He'd predicted the first week of September all the way along - I emailed him this morning to check, and he still reckons 5 days to go through the VPC, PDI and pickup is viable, even with the holiday weekend.

I think it's a little tight myself, but who am I to argue!

The latest aisfree map shows TAGUS is almost as far north as the US/Mexico border. The shippers schedule still shows TAGUS arriving on 1Sep and leaving on 1Sep. We'll see...

Tagus docked. Got a call from my dealer and he said that the car will be ready on 7th Sept at SC BMW.
My Car: AW 335i Sedan, Premium, Auto,NAV, Comfort
My Price: $43500 + Taxes. = Wholesale Invoice + $900

Nothing useful from my CA (he told me no updates until today. Still haven't heard from him). Although, WWL's site shows that my car has been "DISCHARGED" at 11:11 on 2Sep07. For me that means Customs, but for others that means VPC.
