Newbie with a few questions

Happy new year guys. I put a deposit on a 2008 330i m sport touring last week and excited about collecting this week. I have just sold my e46 330d touring, a car which was great but I just don't need a diesel anymore so after much searching I finally found the car I wanted.

I have a couple of question about some bits I want to get for the car.

Firstly can anyone recommend a decent bulb for the angel eyes to match the xenon colour. I'm confused as the prices vary so much, from £26 up to £50 plus!

Am I correct in thinking my car is pre-lci? But still has 272bhp engine.

Could anyone recommend some black grills, again I have found some on eBay and the prices vary and I want to make sure I buy a decent set.

Will 19" mv4's fit on the touring without any issues?

Anyone bought a dog cage for their touring, if so which one!

Here is a pic from the dealer website. I will get some decent ones once I've collected it and give it a good detailing.

Thanks in advance

Welcome mate.

I got my LED angel bulbs from here...

I got my black grilles from BMW as I get a discount, but either the dealers or look at SSDD Motorsport

I bought my grilles via an AD on eBay. I think the user name was Bmw_direct or stratstonehull99

MV4 are very prone to cracking so beware of any used set, even a perfect set could crack once you have them. 313 are the newer E92 M Sport wheel and look great, replicas available at decent prices and keep your 18" MV3 to use with winter tyres.

Cheers mate. I've just done a quick google but couldn't find a place to buy replica 313's. Do you know of one?

Thanks

CM Wheels are a sponsor on here. never used them myself but many here have and he seems to give good service. There are recent threads if you do a search under classified section.

As regards dog guards I have always bought the genuine BMW metal items, not cheap generally but well built, very strong and perfect fit.

Not sure of those are 313s or the BMW Performance similar wheel as they look very similar.

Either way they look great on that E91 and with the price of the reps from CM they are great value. Tyres double the cost I guess but still well worth it.

Your car looks like it has sunpro glass which will make it look even better.

Hi mate.

Hold fire with those bulbs. Yours being a pre LCI touring you need a specific bulb for the saloon and touring only.. Have a look on hida direct for some mtec ones for the e90/e91.. I run them and they're excellent.

I bought genuine bmw performance black grills from a dealer. Iirc they were £85... But they're nice shiny black and look great.

Enjoy the car it looks great.

Thanks Phil, are these the ones http://www.hids-direct.co.uk/mtec-ve...s-bmw-e90-e91/ ?

I will ring bmw tomorrow and get a price. Rather pay that than gamble £50+ on some off eBay.

Cheers

That's exactly what you need.

Bit of a faff to fit. I'd say its time consuming rather than hard.
