actually, my suspected personalities/groups/persons in order of priority 1. disgruntled employee/boyfriend/husband (think: recent shootings) 2. disgruntled citizen against local/federal government on taxes/gay-rights etc. (Unabomber, McVeigh) 3. former US military person disgruntled against government for any reasons (McVeigh, Ft. Hood, Atlanta Olympic Bombing) 4. domestic terrorist inspired by AQ (failed NYC car bomb) 5. foreign terrorist attack, likely AQ (9/11) 6. North Korea - very likely not... |

LOL @ the two guys above trying to show how PC they are with their profiling. More likely a member of the armed forces than a muslim terrorist? You are a moron. Btw.... Ft Hood was a Islamic terrorist attack. |

McVeigh, Eric Rudolph, Hasan ring a bell? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nidal_Malik_Hasan You're claiming everyone in the US military is squeeky clean? Give me a break... I'm not ragging on US military personnel, but you got to be pretty ignorant to ignore the past incidents too. It's the fucking media that enhances the fear in people of the unknown, I'm glad you don't work in the government with your finger on the tigger, you'll probably want to drop a bomb on North Korea by tomorrow huh? Hasan was in contact with Al Qaeda before he carried out his attack at Ft Hood.
Its because we wont classify that attack as an act of terror that the victims wont get the care or recognition they deserve. More PC garbage. You chose to say its more likely that a veteran committed this act of terror than a member of a Islamic terror group?? What besides liberal lunacy would back up that statement? where have you been the past 12 years? Do really need to compare the number of Islamic terror attacks to ones committed by military veterans in the past 15 years? Its amazing the shift in thinking that this country has taken in the past 6 years. Talk about an ungrateful nation. |

As for info, police are saying it was a black powder based bomb, placed at ground level which makes me agree that it was not sophisticated in nature. |

And yes, I am counting DOMESTIC terrorist incidents, b/c, hmm let's see, it's a domestic terror incident. I'm just pulling up recent historical facts. You better educate yourself before you push YOUR agenda. Finally, just to set the record straight. There's is NO FUCKING WAY and COMPLETELY SLANDER that you're somehow accusing me of being anti-military just based on my comment. oh btw, My best friend at work received a bronze star in Iraq, my friend's husband is currently deployed in Afghanistan and I respect them with the highest regards. Our closest family friend was a WWII vet. I often talk to vets everyday when I see them displaying their old unit badges. I even fucking know exactly (for Navy personnel) what engagement they were likely in based on what ship they served on. But, just like everywhere else in life and a workforce, you get all walks of life. Living in DC metro, there's tons of military personnel and I have run into hundreds of GED morons too who are currently enlisted. Btw, I work with West Point and Air Force academy graduates...they are completely different. Last edited by mdosu; 04-15-2013 at 11:12 PM.. |

How about the "false flag" /conspiracy theory that it was the US gov outsourced/Mossad (Israeli intelligence agency) to drum up support for an Iran strike (the nukes)?

I just accused you of being PC. An Arab member was posting here about hoping it was not an Arab and voiced concern over what people thought and you basically said..... No way dude! and threw a bunch of other groups under the bus that are ok to profile. It seems the media has grouped together veterans-tea partiers-right wingers-anti govt ppl-libertarians-pro 2nd ammendment factions and made them the number one suspect anytime something happens when it is most likely to be an Islamic terrorist or some kid whacked out on Prozac. |

My prayers to out to all the families impacted by this tragedy. I wondered, could this just be the beginning- as a "test" bombing in preparation for larger hits like the DC metro or NY rail system? Who knows... Regardless it's sad that in today's world not even innocent spectators can enjoy a day out without having to worry about a terrorist attack of some sort.
PS- I haven't heard of the African guy but I have heard of the Saudi (I hope it wasn't a Latino) |

If you think that suggesting one of the possibilities could've been a disgruntled military or for one member to classify the Ft Hood attack as domestic since Hassan was an American, on U.S. soil equals to an ungrateful nation. Or You watch too much FOX news... |

To the contrary, I think we are just trying to figure out what happened. Also, I see none of the "constant tension and anger" that you seem to think exists in the US. Are we vigilant? Sure. But constantly tense and angry is simply incorrect. Don't forget, this is a HUGE country of 330,000,000 people. There are no more or less horrific crimes than continental Europe.

There are many crazy idiots in this world, American, Arab, Asian and so on! IRA carried out such attacks daily, we are lucky that shit like this has not happened more often in our country. Look at Israel, there used to be a bombings everyday on a bus or a cafe, imagine that shit happening here and the chaos it would cause. We still dont know who is behind this, it could be the whack jobs of tea party, kkk or the usual American hating foreign terrorist. To paint all muslims as terrorists is like painting all white people down south are racist. We live in a really fucked up world where a guy can walk in to a school and shoot children in the face, another nut job walk in to a movie theater and shoot up the entire theater. Remember, this was April 15th, Boston, Patriots day... I hope the god this is not domestic....

So sad to see this happen to my home away from home. Bostonians have a sense of pride and strong bond to their city that I haven't seen anywhere else. They will pull through.
And even if it was done by Arabs, I'm sure people in the city won't hold it against random Arabs or Muslims there. It's an international city with a well educated and tolerant population. My thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their families.
