TPMS questions for new wheels/tires....
If I sell my existing OEM (model 159) wheels/tires and replace with new M6 replicas (and new tires) will I need to purchase new TPMS sensors for each new wheel? (I'm assuming the sensors will go with the wheels/tires when I sell them, right?)
And if I don't get TPMS sensors, will I have to look at a constant tire pressure warning light on my dash? -TMc |

yes, you can either get 4 new sensors or take the sensors from the old wheels and tires and put them on the new ones.
when i got my new wheels and tires though i just bought 4 new sensors already installed with the balanced wheels/tires because when i factored in the cost of dismounting the old wheels and tires, taking out the TPMS, dismounting the new wheels and tires, and installing the tpms, then remounting and balancing them, it cost literally $20 more to just get new TPMS, not to mention it was overall much more convenient. |

are you sure that you have TPMS? if you have metal valves that are greyish in color on your 159's, then you do. if they are rubber valves, then you don't have tpms......
I have a 06 330i also, but I have the FTM........i guess it depends on when your car was produced....... |

Yes, might as well buy a new set of TPMS. Less hassle.

Correct, that would be an ABS based indirect system without live pressure sensors.

Question for anyone, if you have a E92 w/o i Drive and purchase new TPMS sensors, do you have to go to the dealership to get it recalibrated?
Also where do you guys buy TPMS sensors?
