Tail of the Dragon, NC
A picture of my D on the Tail of the Dragon last week. I was smoking through there at about 30 mph. Yes, it's true, I didn't pay for a Hi-res photo. Leaving down Rt 28 from Deal's Gap was much more fun than the actual Dragon.

I gotta say...this is a car I hope to hang on to for a long long time. The brilliant combination of breath taking acceleration with the ability to hit 40mpg if driven gently is insane! I predict this is a car my girlfriend will soon become jealous of as I know it will start steeling attention from her.
Saturday evening, empty stretch of interstate, my gf looked over and told me to go for it, she knew I was itching to mash the pedal and see how this rocket ship could go. In no time at all we were close to 140mph and still going...but at that point I lifted, rediculous torque / power. She commented that it was so smooth and quiet, did not even feel that fast. I lucked out....my local dealer knows I am a bit of a perfectionist with my cars, so they had the wheels fully refinished before delivery. 3 of them had very minor curb rash. I also got two new tires, fresh DEF flush, fresh brake flush, new cabin filter, new battery, and some other little goodies before I drove off the lot. Gotta try this week and see if my old BT Tool can read the DDE. Last edited by Mark M; 06-03-2013 at 01:08 PM.. |

This is a year and a half ago, right after I picked her up. I haven't done anything to her (except matte black kidneys). Mostly because most of my money is going into my e30.

@335dFan, it essentially just says "painted to match". This was one of the mockups I provided to my paint shop. We'll see how it turns out. I already know there will have to be a few small changes to the design just based on the molding/adhering process. We had to keep it "partially" molded in order to leave the carbon fiber on the face exposed as much as possible, but we'll soon know what they were able to come up with. Probably an official debut at C&C in Great Falls, VA next week, weather permitting.

Yea, Rye's is one of my favorites too. Very subtle & classy in his mods...just plain clean. (The great photos don't hurt either)

Here are some terrible blackberry pics of the new bodywerkes (M3 Rep Sideskirts, Custom Carbon Fiber + M-Sport Front Bumper).
Disregard the chrome grills. Those will be replaced by new CF ones as soon as they arrive in my mailbox. And One of the engine cover I did while I was waiting to get the bumper back (wrench boredom); sorry pic taken with a super-old blackberry's yellow flash... I'll try to break out the real camera and perform as "real" of a "shoot" as my limited skills will allow once I have the right grilles in place.

A couple of quick phone pics. Hopefully I will get some more with my DSLR soon. I just picked her up yesterday. 2011 M-Sport. Absolutely love this car! My previous ride is in the background, IS300. She's been a great car for me, 178k miles of trouble free driving. |

you'd be correct. Took me a few months to find this one. Funny thing, I actually found one very similar (had the upgraded HK sound) but it was in VA and the carfax came back with two vehicle accidents reported. I didnt really want to deal with that. I found this one, somewhat local and pretty much had to have it. I was looking for white/m-sport/black dakota/nav/aluminum trim. I was hoping for the HK sound and heated seats, but I can manage with this. The HiFi sound is actually pretty decent. Sending my key off for the extended coverage tomorrow. going with the gold 6 yr/100k plan. :fingerscrossed:
