High Performance Bulbs.com 23 LED Py24W Front Blinkers- Awesome

Hey

I just wanted to let everyone know that www.highperformancebulbs.com has a new front blinker available that is brighter then the current 18 LED options that are available through various vendors and ebay. What I have found in my personal experience is that the 18 LED is bright enough for the white color but for amber its just not enough. The 23 LED I recommend for ambers because from a safety aspect any 18 LED front blinker is simply not bright enough in the day time. I originally had the 18 LED and was disappointed but the 23 LED made all the difference.

Edit- I forget to mention the service was outstanding and prompt shipping.

Here is the link I used :

They can also use our lighting thread to order them.

You are right the 23 LED is a must for amber blinkers.

I previously ordered the 18 LED version of the amber, but have yet to install them. Are they really that bad? Do 5 LEDs make that much difference? I'm sad...

I was hesitant on ordering the 18 LED version of the amber turn signals because I heard that they weren't as bright during the daytime. These 23 LED bulbs look promising.

The 18 LED in amber are "OK". The 23 LED are that much better though. The 5 LED's definitely make a difference in the daytime which is the most important concern.

I was going to compare them side by side but a camera just wont do justice. In person it is obvious anyone looking for the front blinkers needs to go with the 23 LED option. In this case its worth the $10 bucks.

Oh well, at least at night, when I switch on the xenon, the orange will be less visible. I'm not a fan of that orange at night. When I use the blinkers, I'll still have the side marker.

By the way, what's the verdict on the amber LED side marker? Brighter or dimmer than stock bulb?

Amber is one of the hardest colors to produce high light output. Be that as it may for the side markers they are at par with stock brightness in my personal opinion. The difference is a crisp blink vs dull lazy halogen blink.

I personally run the Amber in the front and the white on the sides. I love the white on the side as it has great light output and people know (especially at night) that you are turning. Also works great when someone is in your blind spot and you flick on your blinker, they usually slow up and let you in

So 18 LED amber is dimmer than stock PY24W?

I would say they are about even. Majority of us here are upgrading to LED for as Jeff said for that crisp blinking. If your seeking the front blinkers in LED go with 23 LED for amber. The 18 will get you by, but you will know now that the 23 are better. My original post intention was to let everyone know 23 is now available.

The amber is visible in the day or night no doubt. I would say its about par with stock brightness. I still chose the white cause it was brighter though.

I own the 23 LED turn signals and sidemarkers from HPB. I can vouch for Jeff that these are plenty bright. I have OSS with V2 blackout and they are plenty visible
Great guys, great product, great customer service.

I see they now have the high power LED version on sale now, I think its time to upgrade! They have both white and amber.
