Dealer Add Ons During Signings....???

Hey All,

Just wondering if any of you took the add on's the Finance Managers offer you when your signing the papers.

My Finance guy offered me a road hazard protection against getting a flat on the RFT's, as well as a wear and tear protection for things such as break jobs.

Is this worth the money? Road Hazrd was 599, wear and tear protection was 800. Turned down both but now starting to think about the road hazard based on the cost ro replace one of the run flats.

Any thoughts?

I wouldn't, personally. Sounds like a scam.

Brake jobs should be covered under your comprehensive maintenance plan (which is included in the price).

coverage against run flats going flat? Was that part a joke?

The coverage for the run flats was for if by chance you were to damage a tire, blow a tire, wear out a tire etc... I was told that they can go for about 300 KM's if the blow/pop/get a nail in them, then they need to be replaced. Is this not true?

And breaks are covered under the service plan? Can someone confirm this?

i took the road hazard for 599.
if something happens i'll be glad i got it,
if nothing happens, oh well.

i didn't get any of that other junk, rust/paint/sound/leather protection; and i'm glad i didn't. totally not necessary.

the road hazzard is actually a good thing to have..since run flats once it is damaged it cannot be repaired it needs to be replaced..thats what the dealer said... and i know a guy that have replaced two run flats already... he was glad he had the road hazzard..

I got the road hazzard protection. You should keep in mind that like your actual car, you can negotiate the price on this, so try and knock something off..
